Just curious...  what books are you all hoping to get a chance to read over the summer??

My list includes, but is not limited to,  The Shack, Eclipse, New Moon, My Sister's Keeper, A Tree Grows in Brooklyn,  Into Thin Air, War of Necessity/War of Choice: A Memoir of Two Iraq Wars, The Girls from Ames, and Life of Pi.  I could go on and on!!  For the record, it really bothers me that I can not underline titles on the blog, but I suppose I will survive!  

I'm sure I will add more books to my list in the comments section as I remember them all : ) Please share your list!

Hello my friends,

I am glad that the blogging went over so well at the end of the school year!!  In an effort to keep that enthusiasm alive throughout the summer, I set up this blog to discuss your summer reading. 

I will miss conferencing with you about your independent reading as well as discussing the novels we were reading in class.  This will be a good way to keep in touch about your reading!  Remember that there is always a plethora of books at your local library (and lots of fun activities there over the summer as well).

Have a wonderful summer... it's one of my favorite times of the year to catch up on books I haven't had time to read yet : )  I look forward to seeing you all in the fall!!
